Our History

1988 – Incorporated as a private, non-profit educational institution with an IRS 501(c) (3) designation

1991 – Opened with limited space in the Nevada State Museum

1994 – Opened in the restored Carson City Civic Auditorium with 30 hands-on exhibits, 4,000 square feet of exhibit space plus stage and foyer for admission desk, gift shop and restrooms

2000 – Lower level remodeled into offices, kitchenette, class and meeting rooms, workshop and storage
